Where the money goes in a luxury sofa.
When you buy from a luxury brand, a large share of the price pays for galleries, catalogues, marketing and retail margin. The making happens in specialist workshops, and some of the best upholstery and case goods workshops in the world are in Lecong and Shunde.
We go straight to those workshops, write a proper specification for every piece, and check it ourselves before it ships. You pay for the furniture, not the gallery.

Every piece is made to order, so you choose the size, fabric or leather, timber and finish. Swatches and samples are posted to you first.
Deep seat linen sofas
Slipcovered or tailored, with deep seats, feather wrapped cushions and heavyweight linen or performance fabric.
Modular and sectional
Low, generous modular sofas sized to your room, from a single chaise to a full U shape.
Leather seating
Track arm sofas, club chairs and recliners in top grain or full aniline leather that ages well.
Oak dining tables
Solid and reclaimed oak tables up to twelve feet long, with trestle, pedestal or parquet tops.
Brass and iron lighting
Chandeliers, linear pendants and sconces in aged brass and forged iron, wired for your country.
Stone and timber tables
Travertine, marble and oak coffee and side tables, matched to the rest of the room.
How it is made, and what we check.
Luxury is in the parts you cannot see. We write these into your order, and our inspectors look inside every frame before it is upholstered.
Frame
Kiln dried solid hardwood, corner blocked, glued and screwed. No particle board in load bearing parts.
Suspension
Eight way hand tied springs or heavy gauge sinuous springs, depending on the style.
Cushions
High resilience foam cores wrapped in feather and down, in channelled casings that keep their shape.
Fabric and leather
Heavyweight linen, performance weaves, and top grain or full aniline leather, with swatches approved by you.
Timber
Solid and reclaimed oak, hand finished, with moisture checked before shipping so it settles well in your climate.
Metal and lighting
Solid brass and forged iron with hand applied finishes. Lighting is wired and certified for 120 or 230 volts.

Questions about luxury furniture.
Is this RH furniture?
No. Svikarr is not affiliated with RH. We mention RH only to describe a style many of our clients love. Everything we supply is an original piece, made to order for you.
Can you copy a specific piece?
No. Many furniture designs are protected, and copying them is not something we do. We will make a piece in the same spirit, with your own proportions, fabric and finish.
Will the quality match a luxury brand?
Quality comes from the specification and the checking. We write luxury level specifications into every order, show you photos inside the frame before it is upholstered, and inspect the finished piece before you pay the balance.
Can I see fabrics and finishes first?
Yes. We post fabric, leather, timber and metal samples to you, and nothing goes into production until you approve them.
Can I get this look in Australia?
Yes. We deliver to homes across Australia through Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle and Adelaide, with GST and clearance included in your price and lighting wired for 230 volts.
Can I combine furniture with my building materials?
Yes, and it is the best value. Furniture can share containers with your kitchen, bathrooms and tile, so it arrives with the rest of your home.
